What "boat mechanic near me" means in Jupiter
It does not mean a building on Indiantown Road. AquaRepair Marine is a service-area business: one technician, one fully stocked truck, and no storefront. The relevant distance is not how far you drive to us — it is how far we drive to your boat, and in Jupiter that is inside the same-day window.
We work on Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda outboards, plus boat trailers. Work is performed to OEM specification with OEM parts, using factory diagnostic tools and service procedures. AquaRepair is an independent operator, not a dealer. Warranty claims and OEM-financed repowers are referred out to the appropriate dealer — we will tell you when your problem is one of those before you spend money on it.
What Jupiter Inlet does to outboards
Jupiter Inlet is a sand inlet. It shoals, the bar moves, and the tidal flow through it runs hard enough to stack a short steep chop against an east wind. Boats running that inlet ingest sand, and sand is what kills water pumps: it scores the pump housing so a new impeller wears out again in a season. When we replace an impeller on a Jupiter boat we replace the housing and wear plate with it, which is why the water pump and impeller line is quoted at $250–$450 rather than a bare impeller price.
The Loxahatchee River is the other half of the pattern. It is shallow, tannic and full of oyster bar edges upriver of the railroad bridge. Loxahatchee boats come to us with skeg damage, spun hubs, and lower units that took a strike and started weeping gear oil three trips later. A lower unit seal kit with pressure test is $350–$600; a full rebuild runs $800–$2,500.
Where the boats are kept in Jupiter
| Where the boat lives | Typical Jupiter boat | What we see most |
|---|---|---|
| Loggerhead Marina – Jupiter — 156 wet, 257 dry stack | 24–32 ft center console | Sand-scored water pumps, batteries flat after a layover in the rack |
| The Bluffs Marina — 102 wet | ICW cruisers, mid-size outboards | Growth on lower units, charging-system faults |
| Suntex Marina at Jupiter | Mixed wet slip | |
| Private docks and lifts — Admirals Cove, Jonathan's Landing, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Loxahatchee riverfront | 26–40 ft, twin and triple outboards | Scheduled 100-hour work, lift-dried impellers |
| Trailers — Burt Reynolds Park ramp, Jupiter Farms (33478) driveways | 20–26 ft bay and console boats | Trailer bearings, fuel that sat, hard starting |
Jupiter ZIPs 33458 and 33477 carry most of the dock-kept and dry-stack fleet. 33478 is inland and trailer-heavy — we service those boats in the driveway.

Second engine is 15% off, which matters in Jupiter where triple-engine 33–39 ft consoles are ordinary. The $149 dockside diagnostic is credited in full against work authorized on the same visit. Parts are extra unless stated, and Florida taxes parts and labor both at roughly 7% in Palm Beach County.
Same-day response, and what happens if we miss it
Jupiter is Tier 1. A technician is at the boat within 24 hours or the trip fee is waived — and in Jupiter the realistic answer is same day for calls placed before mid-morning, Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend emergency coverage is by text to 561-312-7308.
One technician runs every job — — so the person who diagnosed your engine in October is the person who opens it up in January. Jupiter's calendar is the reason: the Jupiter Billfish Classic in late February caps a January tournament run, and a boat touched by four mechanics in between arrives with four different opinions bolted to it.
Your engine's permanent record
Every job produces a photo-documented digital service record — engine hours off the ECU, part numbers, torque specs, before-and-after photos — emailed and texted before we leave the dock. Pre-owned boats are roughly 78–80% of US boat transactions; a complete maintenance file is a resale asset, not paperwork. See how it works for what the record contains.
If you would rather buy the maintenance instead of the repairs, the membership tiers are Logbook at $39/month or $399/year, Standard at $79/month or $899/year, and Premium at $129/month or $1,499/year. Additional engine is +$39/month. Memberships transfer to the next owner when the boat sells.
Questions Jupiter boat owners ask
Do you work on boats at private docks in Jupiter? Yes. Private docks and boat lifts are most of what we do in Jupiter — Admirals Cove, Jonathan's Landing, Jupiter Inlet Colony and the Loxahatchee riverfront. We need dock access and, in gated communities, whatever pass or notification the association requires. Tell us the gate procedure when you book. Lift-kept boats need to be in the water for anything involving the cooling system.
How fast can you get to Jupiter? Jupiter is a Tier 1 city with a same-day response window. The written commitment is a technician at the boat within 24 hours or the trip fee is waived. Call or text 561-312-7308 before mid-morning on a weekday and same-day is the normal outcome. Saturday is a regular working day, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Do you charge more to come to Jupiter? No. Pricing is flat and published, and it does not vary by city. A 100-hour service on a 200 HP outboard is $799 per engine in Jupiter, in Boca Raton, and everywhere between. There is no mileage charge, no trip surcharge and no separate travel line on the invoice.
Can you service a boat in the dry stack at Loggerhead Jupiter? Yes — we work on boats kept at Loggerhead Marina – Jupiter. AquaRepair is not stated to be an approved vendor there or at any facility, so the owner arranges a gate pass or dockmaster notification. We carry the insurance documentation marinas ask for and will send a certificate of insurance to the dockmaster on request. Racked boats usually need to be splashed for cooling-system work.
My impeller was done last year and the engine is running hot again. Why? Most likely the housing was not replaced. A sand inlet like Jupiter's puts grit through the pump, and grit scores the housing and wear plate; a new impeller in a scored housing loses its seal quickly. Our impeller price includes OEM housing because of this. If the overheat is not the pump, the $149 diagnostic finds it and gets credited to the fix.
Do you do warranty work on a new Yamaha or Mercury? No. Warranty repairs and OEM-financed repowers go to an authorized dealer, and we will say so plainly rather than take the job. Everything outside that is ours: scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, pumps, lower units, fuel and electrical, documented to warranty-proof standard.
