250+ slips downtown, and the gear still has to reach the boat

The size of this facility is the first practical fact of working here. A 100-hour service means oil, filters, gear lube, a drain pan, a hose and a full tool kit staged at the transom before anything gets turned — and at a 250-slip downtown marina the truck does not park at your finger pier.

So the two things we need at booking are your dock and slip number, and whatever the marina's arrangement is for a contractor's vehicle.Say it plainly: at this marina the difference between a two-hour job and a three-hour job is often the walk, not the wrench.

Access and the certificate of insurance

AquaRepair is not an approved vendor at Palm Harbor Marina, is not on a preferred contractor list, and holds no gate or dock access of its own. That is true of every facility we work at.

The slip holder arranges access — a pass in your name, or a call to the dockmaster's office saying a contractor is coming. AquaRepair carries the contractor insurance marinas require and will email a certificate of insurance to the marina office, naming the facility, on request.

The outboards here: tenders, dayboats and consoles

A marina built around large vessels still runs on small engines. Tenders, dayboats and 26–36 ft center consoles are what AquaRepair works on here — Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda.

Lake Worth Lagoon, the bridges, and the January calendar

Boats here run the lagoon to Lake Worth Inlet — a maintained deep commercial channel, so less suspended sand than a shoaling inlet like Jupiter's and generally longer water-pump life. What the run costs instead is idle time: the downtown stretch is slow-speed water with bridges, and outboards spend a long time at low RPM before they ever see load.

Questions Palm Harbor slip holders ask

Do you work on tenders as well as the main boat? Yes, if the tender runs a Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki or Honda outboard. Tenders are usually the least-serviced engine on the vessel. We pull real hours off the ECU, service to OEM specification, and file a documented record so the tender's history is not a guess when the boat sells.

Are you an approved vendor at Palm Harbor Marina? No. AquaRepair is not on an approved or preferred contractor list at this facility or any other, and does not have independent gate access. You arrange the pass or notify the dockmaster; we send a certificate of insurance to the office on request.

How far in advance should I book for January tournaments? December. Three sailfish tournaments run out of this area in January, so the two weeks before are the tightest scheduling of the year. Priority booking is included in every membership tier, which is the practical reason slip holders here take one.

Do you charge more because West Palm Beach is Tier 2? No. Tier only describes the response window — Tier 1 cities get a same-day window, Tier 2 next-day. Prices are identical countywide, and the 24-hour commitment applies either way.
