A municipal marina works differently from a private one
Marina Village is city-owned, and city-owned facilities tend to run on published rules rather than a dockmaster's discretion. That is usually good for an owner hiring an outside mechanic — the requirements are written down — but the requirements still exist and they are the city's, not ours.AquaRepair is not an approved vendor here and is not on any city contractor list. We do not claim gate or dock access. You arrange it; we supply the insurance certificate.
Peanut Island is the reason these engines come to us
The sandbar and shallows around Peanut Island are five minutes from the slip, and on a weekend a large share of this marina's fleet is anchored in two feet of sand-bottom water with the engines trimmed up.
The second is heat. July and August have the hottest water of the year and the most sandbar traffic, and BoatUS assistance data puts overheated engines at 4% of calls, clustered exactly there.
Lake Worth Inlet: deep water, big traffic
Marina Village sits close to Lake Worth Inlet, the maintained deep channel that serves the Port of Palm Beach. Boats here get the best ocean access in the county.
If it dies at the dock on a Saturday
Marina Village is a weekend marina. That is when the fleet runs and when engines quit.
Standard hours are Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM — Saturday is a normal working day, not an emergency rate. Sunday and after-hours coverage is by text to 561-312-7308, and emergency boat repair is the page that explains what we can and cannot fix at the dock without a haul-out. About 63% of BoatUS on-water incidents are mechanical breakdown or a dead battery — work a mobile unit resolves in the slip.
Every job produces a photo-documented service record — ECU hours, part numbers, torque specs, before-and-after photos — sent before the technician leaves. Pre-owned boats are roughly 78–80% of US transactions, and a complete file is a resale asset. See how it works.
Questions Marina Village slip holders ask
Are you an approved contractor with the city marina? No. AquaRepair is not on an approved or preferred vendor list at Marina Village or anywhere else. You register the visit or arrange the pass with the harbormaster's office; we carry contractor insurance and will send a certificate of insurance naming the facility on request.
