Ninety-four slips sitting a few minutes inside Lake Worth Inlet is the whole reason to keep a boat here. Boats leave the dock and are in blue water before an engine kept up the ICW has cleared its first no-wake zone.
That produces a distinct wear profile. These outboards see less idle time and far more sustained wide-open-throttle running than the county average — which is easier on carbon and charging, and much harder on everything mechanical. Hours accumulate fast and they are load-bearing hours. Boats on this dock hit their 100-hour service interval two and three times in a season while a slip boat at a lagoon marina takes two years to get there once.
Working alongside a boat in a moving basin
Lake Worth Inlet moves a lot of water on the tidal exchange, and the current does not stop at the marina entrance. The practical version: a boat that is ranging on its lines is a boat you cannot safely hold a lower unit against. Where the current is running hard, gearcase work waits for slack water rather than getting forced. That is a scheduling constraint we plan around, and it is another reason we ask which slip you are in when you book.
Access, the dockmaster and the insurance certificate
AquaRepair is not an approved vendor at Sailfish Marina Resort, is not on any preferred contractor list, and holds no gate or dock access of its own.
The owner or operator arranges access — a pass, or a call to the dockmaster's office saying a contractor is coming. AquaRepair carries the contractor insurance marinas require and will email a certificate of insurance to the marina office, naming the facility, on request.
High-hour engines and the extended-interval service
Sea Tow attributes its number-one call reason — engine and equipment breakdown — primarily to inadequate maintenance. On high-hour engines, that gap closes fast.
Questions boat owners at Sailfish Marina ask
Can you work around a morning departure? Yes. Tell us the departure and return times when you book and we schedule into the gap rather than against it. Hours are Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with after-hours and Sunday coverage by text to 561-312-7308. Request a written estimate for your job.
Are you an approved vendor at Sailfish Marina? No. AquaRepair is not on an approved or preferred contractor list at this facility or any other, and does not claim gate access. You arrange the pass or notify the dockmaster; we send a certificate of insurance to the marina office on request.
Something failed at the dock and I have people coming tomorrow. Can you help? Call or text 561-312-7308. Roughly 63% of on-water incidents in BoatUS data are mechanical breakdown or a dead battery, both of which get fixed in the slip without a haul-out. See emergency boat repair for what can and cannot be resolved dockside.
