Old Port Cove is one of the larger wet-slip basins in north county, and the practical consequence for a mobile mechanic is distance from the truck to the transom. A 100-hour service is not one trip down the dock — it is tools, oil, filters, a drain pan, gear lube and a hose, staged before the first bolt turns.
So we ask for the dock letter and slip number when you book, not when the technician arrives at the gate. On a long finger pier with no cart, staging adds twenty to thirty minutes to a job, and we would rather price that into the schedule than discover it.
Access, gate passes and the certificate of insurance
AquaRepair is not an approved vendor at Safe Harbor Old Port Cove and is not on any facility's preferred contractor list. We do not hold gate access. The slip holder arranges it: notify the dockmaster's office that a contractor is coming, or leave a pass.
AquaRepair carries the contractor insurance marinas require and will email a certificate of insurance to the marina office on request, naming the facility.
Lake Worth Inlet is a deep commercial channel, and it runs differently
Boats out of Old Port Cove reach the ocean through Lake Worth Inlet — the Port of Palm Beach's channel. It is dredged, maintained and deep, which means it does not throw the suspended sand a shoaling sand inlet like Jupiter's does. Water pumps here generally live closer to their rated life.
